Brexit ‘may be bad for our health’

Irish Daily Mirror - - SQUARE EYES -

BREXIT could have “serious implications” on Ireland’s struggling health workforce.

Jim Campbell from the World Health Organisation said he was concerned the UK may try to fill gaps by attracting nurses and medics from Ireland.

He added: “Irish health workers could suddenly be approached under that traditional Uk-ireland agreement.

“A gap in one country becomes an opportunity for others so I would be particularly concerned the long-term impact of Brexit could have serious implications for the Irish health workforce.”
