Trib­utes af­ter death of top news snap­per

TRIB­UTES have been pour­ing in fol­low­ing the death of tal­ented news pho­tog­ra­pher James Flynn.

James worked on nu­mer­ous as­sign­ments for the Irish Mir­ror and other na­tional news­pa­pers for al­most two decades.

Based in Tul­lam­ore, Co Of­faly, he cov­ered al­most ev­ery big story in the Mid­lands dur­ing that time.

Se­nior Mir­ror re­porter Pat Flana­gan said: “We’re still try­ing to take it in that James is gone.

“He was a great guy and plea­sure to work with and the first snap­per we’d call when any­thing was go­ing down in the Mid­lands.”

Irish NUJ Sec­re­tary Sea­mus Doo­ley added: “James was a thor­ough pro­fes­sional with a very pos­i­tive at­ti­tude.”
