RYAN: STAND UP TO KEEP SAINTS SAFE

RYAN BERTRAND has told his team-mates the time has come to “stand up” and be counted.

Southampton are now locked in a huge battle to escape the drop and skipper Bertrand (right) said: “Everyone needs to stand up. The table is still very tight. You’re just looking to get that win, and string one or two wins together, and then it will be a completely different story.”

Livewire winger Josh Sims, 20, who has returned after a long injury lay-off, said: “It is a difficult situation to come into, but hopefully I can get the team going.”
