Abit of making up for lost time or indeed a lost weekend after last week’s snow marooned most of us inside our houses for the weekend.

So let’s start with tonight at District 8 which sees constantly popular Maya Jane Coles (inset) take centre-stage .

At 17, Coles bought herself some 1210’s and started learning to mix on vinyl. Some seven years later at age 24, she had played in over 30 countries racking up gigs at the likes of Panorama Bar (Berlin), Womb (Tokyo), Fabric (London), Trouw (Amsterdam) and WHP (Manchester), as well as taking control of the decks at Ibiza’s most renowned clubs Space, Pacha, Amnesia, and Ushuaia.

Six years ago she released her multi-award winning edition to DJ Kicks mix series, which gained international chart success and massive critical praise, as well as tracks such as Not Listening and Meant to Be under her

Nocturnal Sunshine moniker.

Responsible for club smashes such as Getting

Freaky on Heidi’s Jackathon

Jams label, Maya will be joined tonight by uk DJ

Jospeh Icaro, aka Wax Wings

– tickets are €20 with doors at 11pm.

Tonight 39/40 on Arran Quay host one of the true original pioneers of our modern scene, none other than K Klass as the Strictly Deep crew bring you a night of old skool classics.

Formed 30 years ago in the legendary Manchester club the Hacienda, Russ Morgan and Andy Williams are the two lasting members of this outfit who have enjoyed major chart success in the 90s with tracks like Rhythm Is A Mystery and Let Me Show You.

Their remixes are as famous as their productions with Two Can Play That Game by Bobby Brown becoming and instant club land smash thanks to their pioneering Piano house sound. I still play their D’lacy Hideaway remix in my sets and it is utterly timeless.

George Feely and Adam Judge support and tickets are €10 with doors being 11pm.

Irish techno pioneer Frank Hartnett is in PYG tomorrow night in assocition with a Vision Collector with support from Pineal.

Navigation as well as Josh Green in the bar from six. Tickets there are €10 and although the club starts at 10pm, the bar does be rocking from 6pm.

I’m back in Opium tonight after last week’s unprecedentedly clousure due to snow – as well as PYG Sunday’s for one of their legendary end of the weekend sessions from 10pm.
