EVERTON are moving swiftly to wrap up Marco Silva as their next boss.

The club have been talking with the Portuguese coach’s agent after Sam Allardyce, director of football Steve Walsh and the coaching staff all left. Despite complaints from his old club Watford of an illegal approach last year for Silva (left), nothing contractually stands in the way of his appointment.

The Hornets want £8million compensation, claiming Everton’s approach last November forced them to sack him.
