Kieran has Orchard in bloom for summer yet again

ARMAGH were savaged for losing to Fermanagh in Ulster but they’re still standing, albeit after producing one of the great comebacks of the year. If they can sort out their wide count – 18 against Clare on Saturday – they have a chance of making the Super 8s. That game went under the radar due to what was happening in Newbridge but to be four points down in the 67th minute and then hit 1-5 without reply, that’s impressive.

Kieran Mcgeeney’s record in the backdoor is absolutely superb and when you consider the almost endless list of players they’re missing, it’s incredible.

Roscommon will be favourites to progress but Armagh have momentum now, Mcgeeney (left) has got his players focused.

It was tough on Clare, who must have thought they had got over the line, and it looked like another great game.

Unless Roscommon are fully focused, Armagh can make it through at their expense.
