AXE FOR BOSS OF POLAND

ADAM NAWALKA has lost his job as Poland boss after their disappointing World Cup campaign.

Nawalka, whose team went out after losing their first two games, steps down at the end of the month, after five years in charge.

“I am very sorry, but I am optimistic about the future of Polish football,” said Nawalka (above).

“With dignity, I accept a wave of criticism – sometimes malicious, sometimes substantive.”
