Euromillions draw A LUCKY flyer struck it rich after buying a winning Euromillions ticket in Dublin Airport.

The National Lottery is urging punters to check their slips after the Match 5 prize worth almost €45,000 was sold at WH Smith in Terminal One.

The Quick Pick ticket came close to the landing the €44million top prize.

The same store sold a winning Lotto jackpot ticket worth €5.4 million last Christmas Eve.

A Lotto spokesman said: “It’s incredibly likely the winning ticket holder is lying on a beach and may be unaware they have a lottery ticket worth almost €45,000 in their suitcase.”

The numbers were 1, 12, 15, 29, 48 and the Lucky Stars were 3 and 5.

Hot Press TOP DJ Niall Boylan has revealed how he considered killing himself after the breakdown of his marriage plunged him into depression.

And the Classic FM host, who was adopted at 16 months, told how he believes his biological mum became pregnant by a priest.

During a wide-ranging interview, Niall also said he doesn’t rate RTE star Ray D’arcy, who isn’t “worth the money” and described Joe Duffy as a “referee”.

Speaking about his personal turmoil, the dad of three said he went through some of the “worst days of my life last year” when his 25-year marriage hit the rocks, which he didn’t want or expect.

The award-winning presenter added: “For about four months, I was so depressed. There was one night I genuinely felt like there was no way out. I was up on Howth Head, five hours sitting in the car.

“And if it wasn’t for a good friend of mine on the phone, I don’t know what I would’ve done.”

Speaking about how low he plunged, he said: “Yes, absolutely [I thought about suicide]. I always thought I was stronger than that. I seem to have some built-in mechanism that stops me feeling like that.

MOTHER

“I listen to other people’s stories about suicide on the radio and I always go, ‘That wouldn’t be me’. You never realise what it’s like in that place until you’re there.”

Niall, who has since found love again, also discussed how he tracked down his biological mum before he got married but said it “was an anti-climax”.

He told Hot Press: “I don’t know what anybody’s expecting from it because you can’t force a relationship with a person. It doesn’t feel like she’s my mother. To me, my mother was the woman who raised me.”

The 53-year-old’s biological mum spent three years in a mother and baby home during which time she gave birth to Niall and his sister – who he only found out existed in 2015.

Speaking about his biological dad, he added: “She used to clean the church.

“She said, ‘He worked in the Church. I didn’t want to have another baby. I didn’t want to have sex’.

“She comes across as a very vulnerable type of person.

He added: “To me it could only mean a priest.” Meanwhile, speaking about other high-profile broadcasters, Niall said: “Ray D’arcy. I don’t think he’s good. I don’t think he’s worth the money RTE are paying him.”

And speaking about Liveline presenter Duffy he added: “Joe Duffy does what he does. It’s not my type of radio. He’s basically a referee. What’s he on for? An hour-and-a-quarter – and he’s getting, whatever, €400,000 a year!”
