Field waterfall hits the rocks..
A LANDMARK made famous in a hit film is showing the effects of the torrid conditions.
Aasleagh Falls on the Galway/mayo border, which featured in The Field starring Richard Harris, is not looking its usual self these days.
It is located a short distance from Leenane village, just north of the county boundary.
But as a result of the recent heatwave, the usually picturesque waterfall – which is located on the River
Erriff – has almost run dry.
