Ryanair must strike up a deal

AS hundreds of Irish families look forward to jetting off on their summer holidays the cloud of strike action looms over Ryanair.

The airline revealed it plans to “face down” pilots making it almost certain Thursday’s planned industrial action will go ahead.

A war of words erupted between the budget carrier and the Irish Airline Pilot’s Association with Ryanair calling the move “blackmail”.

While pilots are in dispute over terms and conditions, both sides need to come together and avoid the potential grief to thousands of travellers.

It’s not too late to pull back from the brink.
