Leaders tribute to Irish heroes
THE President and Taoiseach were both present at the National Day of Commemoration service at Collins Barracks in Dublin yesterday.
Other events took place in Cork and Limerick.
The services were to honour all Irishmen and women who died in past wars or on UN service.
It is held on the Sunday nearest to July 11 , the date of the signing of the Anglo-irish truce that ended the
War of Independence in 1921.
