Plea to level health sector

POOR pay is stopping people pursuing health sector jobs, it was claimed yesterday.

Labour TD Alan Kelly said a two-tier system in which some staff earn far much more than the majority, must end.

He added: “When we consider the conditions in which many nurses work, that they can get better conditions elsewhere.

“With Brexit on the horizon there is an opportunity to encourage those who left to come home.”
