Lords of Strut: BGT isn’t for everyone

- BY SHARON MCGOWAN

BRITAIN’S Got Talent stars Lords Of Strut have warned those planning on entering the TV talent show to sign up with their “eyes wide open”.

The dance duo, made up of Cork pals Cian Kinsella and Cormac Mohally, made it to the live finals in the 2017 series but failed to get to the final.

Cian told the Irish Mirror he sometimes advises people not to enter the show.

He said: “A lot of people ask us if they should do it or not, and we’ve advised some people they should and others that maybe they shouldn’t.

“It depends on where you are but in a broader sense, go in with your eyes wide open.

“It’s a TV show firstly, second it’s a contest. The show has changed. They used to make people’s careers but they also used to break careers.

“They would make some people stars and they would make fun of other people. They don’t make fun of people like they used to and if they were, we wouldn’t have done it.”

Lords Of Strut are set to tour the country in October and November with their family-friendly show, Absolute Legends.

Cian said: “It’s an all ages show – built for kids but with lots of jokes for adults too. It’s very interactive, a heartwarming but very silly show.” ■■Tickets are available at www.lordsofstrut.com.
