85% of footie fans miss part of TV games
Paul Higgins AROUND 85% of Irish TV viewers are missing as much as the first 25 minutes of football matches, a survey revealed.
More than two-thirds of soccer fans said failing to see 10 minutes or more of the game would be “too far gone” to consider watching a match, Virgin Media Sport research shows.
New kick-off times for the Champions League of 5.55pm and 8pm means fans have twice as much football to watch but risk missing the first few minutes of a game.
Virgin Media spokesman Paul Higgins said: “We’re showing some of the biggest sporting events and it’s all part of our ongoing investment to give our customers the best way to watch the best TV.”
