Real legacy to a life well lived

THE €30million left to charity by the late Elizabeth O’kelly is an act of almost unprecedented generosity.

Yesterday it was revealed the five good causes will receive an additional €1million from her estate.

It also emerged that during her life Mrs O’kelly was just as generous with her time as she was with her money and had been volunteering at the Royal National Lifeboat Institute’s stall at the RDS.

While she might have left this world she leaves behind a lasting legacy as her goodness and humanity has ensured that other people will live.
