Daily failure for lazy kids
ONLY one in 30 children does the recommended amount of daily exercise, according to researchers.
They should do at least 60 minutes of “moderateto-vigorous activity”, says the chief medical officer.
The study found just 3.2% hit this daily. With girls it was 1.2%, compared with 5.5% of boys.
Dr Lisa Price, of Exeter University, said: “Most children aren’t doing enough physical activity, and this has consequences in adulthood too.”
