Crane lifts part of wreck yesterday LEICESTER City goalie Kasper Schmeichel had to be held back as he ran to help those trapped in the club owner’s blazing helicopter.

The 31-year-old was heading toward the wreck after Saturday’s horror crash when police and security stopped him outside the city’s King Power Stadium.

Foxes manager Claude Puel said yesterday: “I don’t want to give all the details. Just for Kasper. He lived and saw terrible things. Kasper, like other players, are devastated.”

Club chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, 60, was one of five people killed. Schmeichel said in a tribute: “I always admired you as a leader, as a father and as a man.”

Ex-manager Claudio Ranieri, 67, yesterday placed a wreath at the King Power shrine. Meanwhile, a crane started to remove the wreckage. Ranieri
