Grace Miano was brought before a special sitting of Dublin District Court yesterday morning.

The 50-year-old, from Tudor Lawns in Foxrock, was charged with the murder of Limbani Mzoma at the same South Dublin address on Thursday night.

The accused, originally from Kenya, was arrested on Friday after the body of the Malawian national was found with multiple stab wounds at around 11.30pm.

She requested a medical psychiatric assessment.

Judge Grainne Malone said the accused should receive medical attention and asked solicitor Jonathan Dunphy to liaise with authorities to have a psychiatric assessment carried out if required.

Miano, who is receiving social welfare, was granted legal aid.

She was remanded in custody to appear before Dun Laoghaire District Court on Friday. and
