Welcome for cystic fibrosis unit progress
Ms Noone AN inpatient unit for cystic fibrosis sufferers is expected to go through the planning process at the end of the month.
The progress for the long-awaited facility at Beaumont Hospital in North Dublin was welcomed by senator Catherine Noone.
The Fine Gael representative said it was “fantastic news” for patients.
She added: “Life expectancy for people with CF has increased progressively in recent years, which is really positive.
“This means it is incumbent on Government to respond to the increased numbers of adults with cystic fibrosis being treated in adult centres and the increased complexity of cases.”
