October the busiest ever for airport
Dublin Airport DUBLIN Airport has seen the busiest October in its 78-year history.
More than 2.8 million passengers travelled through the hub over the course of the month.
Data revealed this was a 9% increase compared to the same period last year.
Almost 1.5 million people flew to and from continental Europe.
More than 877,000 travelled back and forth from the UK – a rise of 4%.
And those heading to international destinations in the Middle East, Africa and the Asia Pacific regions increased by 19%.
In the first 10 months of the year, the airport welcomed almost 27 million passengers – a 6% increase on the same period in 2017.
