Lucky punter set to pick up half a million
Euromillions A LUCKY punter raked in €500,000 in Tuesday night’s Euromillions Plus draw.
The winning Quick Pick ticket was sold earlier in the day in Barclay’s Newsagents in the border town of Raphoe, Co Donegal.
Owner Jim Barclay said: “We’re absolutely over the moon. We are a small, community-based shop with a very loyal customer base so we’re just thrilled one of these people has won the prize.
“We’re just eight miles from the border but we get very little passing trade so we are confident it could be a local customer.
“The whole town is buzzing. No doubt we’ll have a lot of people in to check their tickets.”
The winning numbers were 2, 12, 33, 42 and 44.
