Go­ing potty at the Cork Lavit Gallery

It could drive you potty, or get you all fired up.

A new ex­hi­bi­tion will open up at Cork’s Lavit Gallery to­day which will fea­ture the work of the So­ci­ety of Cork Pot­ters. The non-profit body is open to all ceramic artists or pot­ters who live in the re­gion and re­flects a wide di­ver­sity of cur­rent cre­ative ceramic ac­tiv­ity in Cork. The so­ci­ety or­gan­ises ceramic-spe­cific net­work­ing events, work­shops, and ex­hi­bi­tions. Mem­bers par­tic­i­pat­ing in this year’s ex­hi­bi­tion in­clude: Jo­ce­lyn Adams, El­iz­a­beth Burgess, Ann Burns, Martha Cash­man, Dar­ren Cas­sidy, An­drew Collins, Stephanie Dinkel­bach, Sinead Fa­gan, Cil­lian Gib­bons, Clare Green, Etain Hickey, Jim Kelle­her, Char­lie Ma­hon, Kira O Brien, Orla O Rourke, Sara Roberts, Cather­ine Ryan, David Seeger, Julian Smith, Kathleen Standen, Jim Turner, Pim Wi­jn­maalen, and Adrian Wis­terich.

Be­ing opened this after­noon by Fran­cis Keane between 5pm– 7pm it will con­tinue un­til Satur­day, Au­gust 26.
