Mitchelstown seek off-street parking
County Council officials are anxiously seeking land to create further off-street parking in Mitchelstown but high purchase costs, “even during the recession”, make it impossible. Council engineer Brendan O’Gorman said prices being quoted were completely over the top.
The council want to provide offstreet parking, especially to cater for an influx of people on the town’s well-known Thursday market day.
He is open to any proposals from the public about resolving the matter.
