Council putting €35,000 into cleaning Bandon and Kinsale
An extra €35,000 is to be put into ‘beautifying’ Bandon and Kinsale by the county council.
Details of the two scheme were presented by council officials to the municipal district council. A total of €20,000 is to be spent in Bandon, to aid improvements to the Macroom road approach, as well as extra weed-spraying in a number of places, along with increased use of mechanical road sweepers, cutting of verges, and sign and footpath cleaning.
Litter-picking will be carried out on approach roads, especially between Innishannon and Bandon. In Kinsale, the €15,000 will go on sign and footpath cleaning, extra weed spraying and further use of mechanical road sweepers.
