Residents and businesses asked to comment on Ballinspittle plan
Residents and businesses in Ballinspittle have until September 8 to made submissions over new streetscape proposals. Members of the Bandon/ Kinsale municipal district council expressed some concern that council officials favoured reducing parking spaces in the centre of the village from 42 to 10 as part of the project.
Cllr Alan Coleman said there was “too much tar” in the village, and some of it should be paved and parking provided. Along with Cllr Kevin Murphy, the pair said there was broad agreement on the plan but parking could be a stumbling block.
Officials noted there was enough space to park 150 cars, 100 metres from the village.
