Spon­sored fam­ily ori­en­teer­ing event to boost na­tional school’s build­ing fund

Scoil Íosagáin Aghada Na­tional School is host­ing a spon­sored fam­ily ori­en­teer­ing event this Sat­ur­day to aid fundrais­ing for the school’s build­ing fund.

The school has ex­panded in re­cent years and is adding an ex­ten­sion with new class­rooms, in­clud­ing a re­cently opened Early In­ter­ven­tion ASD class, Bláth na hÓige.

Pro­vi­sional de­tails for the event are as fol­lows: Meet at GAA grounds in Rostel­lan at 10am. Plenty of park­ing avail­able at GAA grounds.

Ori­en­teer­ing course around Rostel­lan wood, off Mi­dle­ton/ White­gate road. Na­tional Grid Ref­er­ence W 523 469 with start times from 10.30am to 1pm. The cour­ses close at 2pm. Ba­sic /be­gin­ners course 4km; In­ter­me­di­ate course 7km.

En­try fees: Fam­ily (2+3) €15, ad­di­tional fam­ily mem­bers: adult €3 and ju­nior €2. Adult €8, ju­nior (u18) €4; stu­dent (full-time) €5; Group rates for ad­vance book­ings: Adult €7, stu­dent €4, ju­nior €3; sec­ond run on the day: €2 per per­son.

BOC mem­ber­ship: Fam­ily €5, adult €5, ju­nior/stu­dent €3, ju­nior group €5.
