McA­nally brings cel­e­bra­tion of pal Christie Hen­nessy to Mac­room

One of Ire­land’s most beloved singer-song­writ­ers, Christie Hen­nessy, will be re­mem­bered in Mac­room this com­ing week­end.

In a new show, ‘Cel­e­brat­ing Christy Hen­nessy’, en­ter­tainer Aonghus McA­nally brings the Hen­nessy song­book to life with his un­canny recre­ation of his close friend Christie’s voice and gui­tar play­ing. It will fea­ture all his best­loved hits — ‘Mes­sen­ger Boy’, ‘Jeal­ous Heart’, ‘Don’t For­get your Shovel’, ‘If You Were To Fall’, ‘All The Lies That You Told Me’, and the iconic ‘Roll Back The Clouds’.

Prof­its from the show at the River­side Park Ho­tel, in Mac­room, on Sat­ur­day at 8pmwill go back into lo­cal projects, in­clud­ing the restora­tion of the Church of Ire­land in Mac­room to cre­ate a cul­tural and tourism amenity.
