Continue to supplement suckled cows at grass with magnesium after weaning. Allocate top quality grass to fresh calvers, to help them come back in heat ASAP.

Try not to give dry sucklers too much quality grass, because they can get overweight quickly, resulting in calving difficulties and metabolic disorders.

If conditions allow, strip graze, and supply straw in a ring feeder.

Continue to supplement with a good quality dry cow mineral.
