Examples of successful dairy f a r m p a r t n e r s h i p s a re i n cluded in “Guidelines to forming a Farm Partnership”, a new booklet on registered farm partnerships produced by the Farm Management Unit in Teagasc on Collaborative Farming Options. Farm partnerships provide a sustainable framework where farmers work together to improve work-life balance, by providing more labour, and sharing of work between partners. This also increases the skills available. There is also the possibility to improve farm family financial viability through efficiencies and the opportunity to increase scale sustainably. The partnerships play a key role in family farm succession, even for farmers without an identified farming successor.
