Drilling beans

Irish Examiner - Farming - - GENERAL FARMING -

Recent research findings suggest that late October or early November is the optimum winter beans drilling time. Late November plantings tend to be more prone to bird damage.

Ensure good ground conditions, to optimise establishment and a denser plant stand, for better weed control in the longer term.

Seed samples that test positive for Ascochyta should not be planted.
