Dairy­gold prices for crops

Other trade buy­ers must fol­low Dairy­gold’s prices for green grain, oilseed and pro­tein, said IFA Pres­i­dent Joe Healy, af­ter the co-op said it will pay up to €160 for grain and €360 for oilseed.

“Un­less they are pre­pared to work with their grow­ers to sus­tain them through pro­longed dif­fi­cult pe­ri­ods, tillage farm­ing will dis­ap­pear from vast ar­eas of the coun­try.” Dairy­gold prices at 20% mois­ture, in­clu­sive of pre­mium based on min­i­mum pur­chase terms, but ex­clud­ing 5.4% VAT, in­clude €145 for bar­ley, €153 for wheat, €140 for oats, and €160 for con­tract malt­ing bar­ley.
