Awards for designs that work for farmers
The Good Design Awards are the oldest and most prestigious global awards programme for design excellence and design innovation.
Some of the top farm implement manufacturers feature every year, showing how much trouble they go to achieve designs that work for farmers.
Winners in 2017 include the John Deere C441R combi wrapper round baler, for which John Deere tasked Designworks and GBO, to collaborate in a complete re-design based on a modern round baler family approach.
The Good Design Award also included the John Deere F441R and F441M solo round balers.
The company’s 9RX rubber- tracked tractor series also won a design award.
Another 2017 winner is the Case IH Autonomous Concept Tractor, unveiled in 2016 as the world’s first high horse power, cabless autonomous concept tractor.
