Music workshops

Irish Examiner - Farming - - COUNTRY LIVING -

Scariff Guild has been exploring singing and music. The singing workshop in January with Catherine and Doug Patience was a huge success and members hope to repeat the experience.

They also invited in a local harpist, who demonstrated the variety of sounds and notes made by the harp. Scariff guild members are also busy preparing for the yarn-bombing event to celebrate International Women’s day on March 8. Any offers of help from members of the public with the knitting and crocheting effort would be greatly appreciated. Scariff guild meets on the third Monday of the month in the local Teagasc Building at 8pm. New members are always welcome. For more info, phone 086 8177 649.
