FA­TIGUE can be one of the most frus­trat­ing symp­toms of arthri­tis, ac­cord­ing to the Arthri­tis Foun­da­tion, but it says suf­fer­ers can fight it by im­prov­ing diet. “First things first: Make sure you are eat­ing,” the Foun­da­tion ad­vises. Skip­ping meals or wait­ing too long to eat can send your en­ergy plum­met­ing. It also stresses the im­por­tance of drinking enough wa­ter and avoid­ing sug­ary drinks. Spicy or acidic foods should also be off the menu. “The choices you make all day long are im­por­tant, even at bed­time. Steer clear of caf­feine as the day draws to a close.”
