GAME ON: Ruben The En­ter­tainer will host a board game-themed week­end of fam­ily fun at Arnotts on Oc­to­ber 14 and 15, with chil­dren’s fash­ion shows, flash­mob dance per­for­mances, a ven­tril­o­quist and ma­gi­cian on Satur­day. SIGHT SAVERS: For the month of Oc­to­ber, Or­bis Ire­land has launched a run­ning chal­lenge to fund sight-sav­ing treat­ment for chil­dren in Ethiopia. Par­tic­i­pants in Run 20/20 are be­ing asked to run for at least 20 min­utes a day for 20 days un­til Oc­to­ber 31. Run­ners have con­trol of when and where they run. Each run­ner is asked to raise a min­i­mum of €80, which funds 12 sight-sav­ing op­er­a­tions. Reg­is­ter at www.run2020.com
