DUBLIN THEATRE FESTIVAL
September 28 to October 15
Another feast for theatregoers, with over two weeks of a festival that has some world class shows. Among them is The Suppliant Women, David Greig’s take on a work originally written by Aeschylus. Its origins may be in ancient Greece, but this tale of refugees and its feminist sensibilities should chime with our times. Other biggies will be The Second Violinist, the second operatic collaboration between Donnacha Dennehy and Enda Walsh; and ANU’s new site-specific work, The Sin Eaters.
