Spurs’ league form in the past six weeks has seen them drop as low as sev­enth and out of con­tention for the Premier League ti­tle, amid con­cerns they will not be in the Cham­pi­ons League when move back to a re­built White Hart Lane next sea­son. Yet, Mauri­cio Po­chet­tino is not un­duly wor­ried, point­ing out they are only two points worse off than at this stage last sea­son, when they were fifth with 27 points after 15 games, as op­posed to sixth with 25 points now. They have also won their Cham­pi­ons League group after beat­ing Real Madrid and Borus­sia Dort­mund twice, and with a stronger squad, cer­tainly once the in­jured Toby Alder­weireld and Vic­tor Wanyama re­turn.
