Glen­stal’s Healy in Ire­land U-19 squad

Mun­ster Schools Se­nior Cup win­ning cap­tain Ben Healy has been named in the Ire­land U-19 squad to take on France in the first of two fixtures at the Sports­ground, Gal­way, this evening (5pm).

Glen­stal Abbey’s Healy is named in the re­place­ments along­side PBC skip­per Billy Scan­nell, younger brother of in­ter­na­tion­als Niall and Rory.

Three Mun­ster play­ers have been named in the back di­vi­sion, James Mccarthy (UL Bo­hemian) at full back, Conor Philips (Cres­cent Col­lege Com­pre­hen­sive) on the right wing and PBC play­maker Sean French in the cen­tre.

Bal­ly­mena RFC’S Azur Al­li­son will cap­tain the side from No.8 and is joined in the back­row by Scott Penny and Luke Clo­hessy, from Lim­er­ick - no re­la­tion to for­mer in­ter­na­tional Peter.

The sec­ond fix­ture will take in the Sports­ground on Satur­day (2.30) when squad ro­ta­tion can be ex­pected.
