Maher the sole Premier change for final clash
Michael Ryan has made one change to the Tipperary side to take on Kilkenny in tomorrow’s Allianz League Final at Nowlan Park.
Former captain Brendan Maher returns to his customary midfield position with Thomas Hamill dropping to the bench.
Ronan Maher, who has starred at midfield for much of Tipp’s league campaign, reverts to the halfback line, taking Hamill’s place at left wingback rather than his old position at centre-back.
Ronan’s brother Padraic remains in the centre-back position.
Maher starts in midfield alongside St Mary’s Seamus Kennedy.
Tipp’s attacking sextet remains the same as in the semi-final win over Limerick, meaning John O’dwyer must again be content with a place on the bench.
Noel Mcgrath has not been deemed fit enough to return to the Tipp panel.
Alan Murphy replaces the injured Ger Aylward (hamstring) in the the only change to the Kilkenny team from the semi-final win over Wexford.
