Irish Examiner - Supplement - - KINSALE - Majella Flynn

Art enthusiasts, collectors and first- time buyers can browse through an exciting collection of works at Kinsale Art Gallery, which overlooks the marina in Kinsale. The gallery stocks work by leading Irish artists including James Brohan, Gladys Maccabe, Colin Gibson and Arthur Maderson.

The Boathouse Gallery has built up a unique collection of contemporary Irish art since its opening in 2010.

The owners, the Timmons family, find that artists are very keen to avail of the opportunity to showcase their work in the picturesque town of Kinsale.

The Gallery Kinsale, on Main Street, boasts a great collection of local scenes and promotes the best of Irish and international contemporary art.

Giles Norman Photography Gallery is set in a Georgian building in the centre of Kinsale. Giles Norman is one of Ireland’s leading photographers, renowned for his distinctive collection of black and white images.

These stunning images can all be viewed at the Kinsale gallery, and it is here too where all of Norman’s designing, printing and framing of his photographs are carried out.

Gallery 23 is exclusive to the work of international contemporary artists, painter Philip French RCA and sculptor Kate French. It is situated on Chairman’s Lane in their own period, listed building.
