Irish Examiner - Supplement - - FOOD & DRINK IRELAND - ASHBOURNE MEATS

Ashbourne Meat Processors is one of the country’s leading beef processors, exporting premium chilled Irish beef all across Europe and the world since 1985 from cattle sourced locally at its abattoir in Roscrea, Co Tipperary.

The company was established by Jim McMahon and Danny Houlihan in 1985, both of whom worked in Irish Meat Processors as Sales Manager and Factory Manager respectively. The company still remains today managed and controlled by the Houlihan and McMahon family.

Ireland is internationally renowned as a premier exporter of beef and beef products, with livestock raised on green pastures and a disease-free status that is zealously guarded.

Annually, Ireland produces close to 500,000 tonnes of beef, with 450,000 tonnes going to international markets across the globe.

Ashbourne Meat Processors play an integral part in the success and reputation of Irish beef. With a focus on quality and modern processing and cold store facilities, the company ideally positioned to deliver the finest cuts of beef to customers in Ireland and around the world.
