Foodservice Academy introduces buyers and producers
Bord Bia and Musgrave MarketPlace (foodservice arm of Musgraves) hosted 16 food companies for a half-day ‘meet the buyer’ event earlier this week in Kingsley Hotel, Cork.
The event was hosted as part of the FoodService Academy — the Bord Bia and Musgrave business development programme. Participants have the opportunity to achieve growth within Musgrave MarketPlace’s foodservice business, supplying over 6,000 customers each week ranging from hotels and restaurants to pubs and nursing homes.
Companies present at the Kingsley Hotel event included: Clarafields, Fresh Soup Company, MSC Ventures, Mungo Murphy’s Seaweed Co, and vegan food supplier Natasha’s Living Food.
Foodservice Academy participants attend workshops and gain industry mentoring. Next year, Musgraves and Bord Bia will grow the four-month programme even further.
