Race to Limerick Limerick race­course hosts the Munster Mile Fam­ily Fun­day to­day from 2pm and to­mor­row it’s the turn of the most stylish ladies to make an im­pres­sion. The fam­ily fun day is free for chil­dren un­der 12 and will have magic shows, bouncy cas­tles, arts and crafts and a kid­dies disco. Si­mon Says Cy­cle Griffins Gar­den Cen­tre in Dripsey Co Cork is host­ing its 5th an­nual cy­cle for Cork Si­mon and One Ethiopia to­mor­row. The min­i­mum do­na­tion is €20. The cy­cle be­gins at 10am at Griffins and reg­is­tra­tion starts at 9am.

De­sign­ing Ire­land The Kilkenny Shop is go­ing to shine a spot­light on Ir­ish craft and fash­ion from Mon­day for its an­nual Ir­ish Craft and De­sign week.

This na­tion­wide cam­paign aims to hon­our home-grown tal­ent and the vast range cre­ated in Ire­land, from pot­tery to crys­tal, hand­made jew­ellery and fash­ion. The week in­cludes a re­cruit­ment drive for new Ir­ish tal­ent, an Emerg­ing Jew­ellery De­sign com­pe­ti­tion, in-store craft demon­stra­tions and free vouch­ers.

Chill Out Writ­ten and per­formed by Ai­dan Doo­ley, Tom Crean – Antarc­tic Ex­plorer re­turns for a 10th time to the Ev­ery­man in Cork. Crean, the in­trepid Antarc­tic ex­plorer, and one of Ire­land’s un­sung he­roes, is brought to life in this dra­matic and hu­mor­ous solo per­for­mance.

It runs from Tues­day un­til Satur­day from 8pm. Tick­ets cost €27. Ir­ish Sign Lan­guage in­ter­preted per­for­mance on Satur­day.
