Gardaí seek to trace power tool owners
Gardaí are trying to trace the owners of a large number of new and second-hand power tools seized in May.
The tools, valued at around €26,000, were discovered when gardaí stopped a van at a checkpoint at Cloughran in Co Dublin. “Many of the tools seized are specialised items that would only be used by car or heavy goods mechanics and may have been taken from such garages,” a Garda spokesman said. “It is believed that some of the tools may have been taken in the UK and Northern Ireland.” Anyone who thinks they may own the tools can call call 01 6664493 or email email@example.com.
