Unauthorised firm warning from bank

Irish Examiner - - Business -

Genworth Consultant Group (USA) has been named and shamed by the Central Bank as an investment firm operating in the Irish market without regulatory approval, something which counts as a criminal offence and means that any negatively affected consumer dealing with them is not eligible for compensation from the Investor Compensation Scheme. The latest company brings to 296 the number of unauthorised persons or firms to be exposed by the Central Bank since it obtained the rights to do so in late 1998.
