John­son to visit Dublin on Fri­day

Bri­tish for­eign sec­re­tary Boris John­son will visit Dublin this Fri­day and meet with gov­ern­ment fig­ures as well as mem­bers of the op­po­si­tion. He will meet with For­eign Af­fairs Min­is­ter Si­mon Coveney where the two will dis­cuss the lat­est de­vel­op­ments over Brexit, trade, and other mat­ters. Mr John­son, considered a po­ten­tial suc­ces­sor to Bri­tish prime min­is­ter Theresa May, will also meet se­nior op­po­si­tion fig­ures dur­ing the visit, in­clud­ing Fianna Fáil leader Micheál Martin as well as other party TDs.

He is also ex­pected to at­tend some pri­vate func­tions in Dublin.
