Consultation on water connection

Irish Examiner - - News -

The Commission for Regulation of Utilities has opened up a public consultation on proposals from Irish Water for a set of national connection charges.

New connections to the Irish Water network are currently charged at the same rates as applied by local authorities, but Irish Water wants to set out Standard Connection Charges for the majority of connecting customers and charge for connections “in a cost-reflective manner, based on service need”, among other proposals.
