Holles Street issues apology
The National Maternity Hospital, Holles St apologised in court for the events which lead to the death of Malak Thawley. Counsel for the hospital, Eoin McCullough, extended deepest condolences to the widower of Mrs Thawley and apologised for the events which led to his wife’s death. The High Court also heard when legal proceedings were issued in January last year, a letter admitting liability by the hospital was issued the next day.
In the letter, the hospital also apologised and extended deepest condolences. Mr McCullough told the court the hospital also set up a probe into the death of Mrs Thawley in May 2016.
