Aldi opens Dublin concept store
ALDI Ireland will be opening one of its new concept stores in Blackrock as part of the renovated Frascati Shopping Centre in Co Dublin.
The well known shopping centre will almost double in size from 100,000 sq ft to 170,000 sq ft upon completion.
An additional 23 retail units and space will be set aside for restaurant dining with views of Dublin Bay.
Improved access to the centre will be facilitated by a new road junction which will be built on the Frascati road, allowing a right turn into the centre when coming from Dublin city. Aldi recently announced its €60m investment in Project Fresh which will also see its store portfolio nationwide refitted to the latest layout, whereby fresh produce is displayed more prominently at the front at the store.
The Blackrock shop will meet this format.
“We are excited to be expanding our Dublin presence at such a fantastic location,” Aldi group managing director Giles Hurley, inset, said. “We are confident that our presence in the new and improved Frascati Shopping Centre will make Blackrock an even more attractive destination for shoppers.”
