Just two weeks to awards deadline
THERE are just over two weeks remaining until the deadline for entries to the KPMG IrishIndependent Property Industry Excellence Awards. Now into their third year, the awards have recognised the achievements of noted property professionals such as Ballymore’s Sean Mulryan, IPUT and Cosgrave Developments to name but a few.
This year, there are two new awards, for Energy Efficient Project of the Year and Outstanding Contribution to the Property Sector. Entries for the overall awards are open until September 29 next at www.propertyexcellence awards.com.
Apart from the recognition the awards provide to the best of Ireland’s property industry, all proceeds from the event help to fund the Property Doctorate research programme at the DIT.
The doctorate, which has a total value of €90,000, is further supported by patrons Hibernia Reit, the Cosgrave Group, Irish Life Investment Managers and Linesight.
Last week, Lorna Colley, who is undertaking the DIT property doctorate research programme currently, delivered a presentation to the sponsors and patrons on the progress of her first two years of her work, titled ‘ Property Valuation Best Practice for Conflict of Interest Management: The Irish Experience’.
